Summer School Policy
The
summer school program offered at Bridgewater-Raynham is to obtain
makeup grades failed in the following areas: English 6 - 12, Algebra I
& II, Mathematics, Geometry, Biology, Science, Chemistry, History,
Social Studies, and Spanish. Classes will run based on student
enrollment in that course. No subject may be made up in summer school
where the student has been absent from the subject more than 15 days
during the regular academic year, or if the grade average for the
subject was below 45. Exceptions may be appealed to the Principal for
her review, consideration, and final disposition. Students needing help
in subject areas not offered will be allowed, with administrative
permission, to take courses at other recognized summer schools, provided
that the criteria in the paragraph above have been met. Credit
Retrieval will be offered to those students who have passed their
courses but have had too many absences to receive credit. All students
must attain a 90% summer school attendance record to receive academic

attendance. Students will not be allowed more than 2 absences this
summer. In addition, a passing grade for a summer school course will be a
70 for B.R.R.H.S. students.

suggested that the student check the Parent and Student Information

credits needed to maintain level, cannot be achieved during the regular
school year, summer school should receive serious consideration in your
planning.
